Kazakh footbal team cruises into 2025 UEFA European Under-19 Championship

Kazakhstan's national football team played against Team Scotland in the final match of the 2025 UEFA European Under-19 Championship qualifying tournament in Almaty, Kazinform News Agency cites Sports.kz.

The starting lineup of Team Kazakhstan included Temirlan Anarbekov, Lev Kurgin, Aleksandr Shirobokov, Adilbek Zhumakhanov, Damir Kasabulat, Meyrambek Kalmyrza, Alen Aimanov, Abylaikhan Nazymkhanov, Galymzhan Kenzhebek, and Aibar Abdulla, and Ivan Sviridov.

The first half of the match saw Scotland’s team initiative, who were the favorites, however, Aibar Abdulla, scoring the first goal, put the Kazakh side on the scoreboard. The hosts held a narrow lead at the end of the first half. Lennon Miller tied the score in the second half. Dane Murray committed a foul in the penalty box, resulting in a suspension. Adilbek Zhumakhanov scored a decisive penalty, as well as Yan Trufanov extended the lead. Thus, Team Kazakhstan secured a victory with a score of 3-2.

Kazakhstan earned nine points and secured fifth place in Group B, getting ahead of Malta’s team.
