Kazakh FM, U.S. Secretary of State talk over phone

On Wednesday, March 12, Kazakhstan's Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Foreign Affairs  Murat Nurtleu held a telephone conversation with the U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio, the press service of the Kazakh MFA reported.

The parties discussed the current state and prospects for the development of enhanced strategic partnership, paying special attention to strengthening political dialogue and economic ties.

They also exchanged views on a number of key international issues, including global security and regional stability.

The heads of the foreign ministries agreed to maintain regular contacts to ensure the high dynamics of bilateral cooperation.

Previously it was reported that Gabidulla Ospankulov, Chairman of the Investment Committee of the Kazakh Foreign Ministry, and Marat Birimzhan, the overseas representative of the Kazakh Invest National Company, held a series of meetings with the top officials of major U.S. companies specializing in technological solutions, industry, healthcare, and energy.
