Kazakh Environmental Protection Ministry issued emissions certificates to 16 companies
ASTANA. July 4. KAZINFORM - The Ministry of Environmental Protection has issued emissions certificates to 16 companies and provisionally approved 40 applications, head of JSC "Zhasyl Damu" Sergey Tsoy said in an interview for Primeminister.kz.
At the same time the work with other enterprises is underway.
In addition, he said, 54 companies have not submitted any documents. "This is the risk group for which we have to take action to stop the operation of these enterprises, since the deadlines elapsed on May 1," the head of the organization noted.
According to Tsoy, responsibilities of non-certified companies are spelled out in the Environmental Code. Any company must suspend operations until it obtains a certificate.
Among those who did not apply are mainly enterprises in the sector of energy and heat-supply.
"These are the small regional heat or power stations, which do not have an expert who could make calculations," he concluded.
