Kazakh Embassy in Austria ready for Apr 3 presidential elections
VIENNA. April 2. KAZINFORM /Timur Bekturganov/ The voting station No118 at the Kazakh Embassy in Vienna is ready for tomorrow's presidential elections. Chairman of the local election commission, Counselor of the Kazakhstan Embassy in Austria Altai Abibullayev said it.
According to him, the commission consists of seven people. All of them will work tomorrow. The voting station has all necessary technical equipment in accordance with the legislation on organization of elections.
Kazakhstanis living in Austria were provided with information on the candidates and their election programmes. All necessary conditions for the work of independent observers were created.
The Austrian authorities were informed of tomorrow's elections. Local officials will be also among the OSCE/ODIHR short-term observers.
According to the diplomat, about 150 Kazakhstani voters have been registered in Austria to date. Among them are the employees of international organizations, diplomats and members of their families, representatives of creative intelligentsia, scientists, businessmen and students.
