Kazakh Embassy holds some events in Székesfehérvár, Hungary

The faculty and students of the Kodolányi János University of Applied Sciences (KJU), representatives of mass media and public gathered in the higher education institution. At the meeting Kazakh Ambassador Rashid Ibrayev told about the history of Kazakhstan?s formation, socio-political, economic reforms in the country, Kazakh foreign policy initiatives and dynamics of the Kazakh-Hungarian relations development. He attracted the guests? attention to information about the People?s Assembly of Kazakhstan, Conference on Interaction and Confidence-Building Measures in Asia (CICA), Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions. The audience was interested in traditions and customs of Kazakhstan. The Hungarian public figures noted that the Kazakh model of interethnic and interfaith concord should be an example for many countries. In this connection the Kazakh diplomat emphasized, that Kazakhstan will chair the OSCE in 2010, and this is a high opinion of the country?s achievements on ensuring peace and harmony in the polyethnic society. The Hungarian side was acquainted with the key directions of ?Path to Europe? state program, main provisions of the Kazakh President?s Message to the Nation ?Through Crisis to Renovation and Development?, anti-recessionary measures of our state. The University?s rector Péter Szabó thanked the Embassy for organization of the events, owing to which the city residents got acquainted with the Kazakh achievements, culture and traditions. He informed, that the Academic Council of the University took decision on awarding the Kazakh Ambassador with the title of Honorary professor of the KJU. Within the framework of a roundtable with participation of the members of the University?s Council an exchange of opinions on expansion of bilateral cooperation in the education sphere was held. Nowadays the Hungarian university tuned cooperation with the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, Turan University and M.Auezov South Kazakhstan State University. The Hungarian side was interested in an exchange of students and teachers from Kazakhstan, expressed readiness to receive scholars of Bolashak presidential program. On their opinion, departments of tourism, health resort and restaurant business, as well as a new direction - distance learning can interest the Kazakh youth.
