Kazakh Embassy declares KEGOC's right to quit CA unified energy system
BISHKEK. October 29. KAZINFORM. /Vladimir Dobrovolsky/ Kazakh Embassy in Kyrgyzstan made a statement regarding Astana's decision to leave the unified energy system of Central Asia.
As the embassy informs, according to the information of the Kazakhstan Electricity Grid Operating Company KEGOC, lately it is seen non-contractual extraction of energy from the unified energy system of Central Asia, particularly by Tajikistan. As a result of imbalance of power consumption regimes the Tajik energy system violates the main principles of the parallel operation of the Central Asian unified energy system and regularly extracts energy despite numerous notifications by all energy systems to observe the dispatching system and ensure concurrence of net power flow.
To avoid further disturbance of parallel operations and break of the North-South transit in Kazakhstan there was created a scheme of southern zone of the unified energy system of Central Asia. In case the Tajik side takes no measures to remove the imbalance of power consumption regimes and non-observance of the main principles of the parallel operation KEGOC JSC reserves the right to withdraw from the unified energy system of Central Asia.
