Kazakh economic reforms among most successful in CIS - Keltchewsky
ASTANA. June 10. KAZINFORM /Muratbek Makulbekov/ Economic reforms in Kazakhstan are among the most successful in the CIS. Alexandre Keltchewsky, Head of the OSCE Centre in Astana said it at the conference entitled "Kazakhstan's economic success over the years of independence" on Friday in Astana.
"It was pleasant to learn that according to an International Monetary Fund estimate, economic growth in Kazakhstan is gaining momentum and the country is strengthening its external positions," Ambassador Alexandre Keltchewsky noted.
He stressed that "Kazakhstan conducts tougher economic policy, taking into account the impact of higher commodity prices. The state also continues to support the economy, mainly through bank deposits, subsidies, loans, raising salaries and pensions."
