Kazakh Economic Development Ministry announces establishment of Consultative Council on CU issues

ASTANA. May 6. KAZINFORM /Damir Baimanov/ Kazakh Ministry for Economic Development and Trade announced the establishment of a consultative council on the issues concerning the Customs Union. The first sitting of the council was held on Thursday, May 6.

As Vice Minister for Economic Development and Trade Timur Suleimenov informed, consultations for business structures will be held monthly. Representatives of the state bodies involved in the Customs Union formation will answer the questions of business community on customs administration, customs-tariff measures and etc

A seminar for mass media was held along with the session. "Proper coverage of the Customs Union issues in media is a key to understanding of all processes, challenges, opportunities and prospects of the Customs Union", T. Suleimenov said. He noted that the Customs Union is in the top three of the most debated topics in the press. The Vice Minister thanked journalists and expressed hope for further joint work.
