Kazakh diplomat met with Kyrgyz Transport Minister

BISHKEK. April 2. KAZINFORM. /Vladimir Dobrovolsky/ Kazakh Ambassador Bakyt Ospanov and Kyrgyz Minister of Transport and Communications Nurlan Sulaimanov discussed the issues of development of transport sphere at a meeting in Bishkek.
The Kazakh diplomat informed of the Kazakh Government?s measures on minimization of the financial crisis impact on the country?s economy. He paid special attention to the main provisions of the Kazakh President?s annual address to the people of Kazakhstan, initiative on creation of a single world currency and the results of the II Astana Economic Forum.
He also told that Kazakhstan actively develops its transit potential. The Ambassador informed that on March 30 the Government of Kazakhstan signed a loan agreement with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and Asian Development Bank (ADB) for implementation of the Western Europe ? Western China project. Among other governmental activities in this sector the diplomat named projects on construction of Korgas-Zhetigen branch line, construction of Turkmenistan ? Kazakhstan ? China gas pipeline.
