Kazakh Deputy Premier to visit Priozersk to get familiarized with heating supply recovery efforts

As earlier reported, on January 4, 2010 after a boiler room accident happened in Priozersk houses and social facilities were frozen.

The main reason of the accident is worn-out equipment. In order to prevent damage of the urban heating network the decision to drain the heating system of a number of houses and social facilities was made. Reserve budgetary funds were allocated for the emergency response.

The Government established a working group to clear up the cause of the accident.

At the governmental telephone conference Governor of Karaganda region Serik Akhmetov informed that works on heat supply reconstruction were underway.
