Kazakh deputies paid special attention to issue of human rights protection – U. Mukhamedzhanov
ASTANA. June 30. KAZINFORM /Muratbek Makulbekov/ - Special attention was paid to the issue regarding protection of human rights at the joint session of the Parliament. Majilis Chairman Ural Mukhamedzhanov said at the joint session of the Houses.
'199 draft bills were to be considered by the Parliament at the third session, 51 remained from the last session and 148 were submitted during the third one. Upon the completion of the session 103 bills were adopted', U. Mukhamedzhanov said.
In particular the amendments to the legislation on the protection of personal privacy were adopted as well as the amendments to the Criminal Procedure Code on simplifying pre-trial procedures, etc.
U. Mukhamedzhanov also noted that deputies initiated the law 'On state guarantees of equal rights and equal opportunities for men and women'.
