Kazakh delegation visited Emirate of Dubai

ASTANA. August 20. KAZINFORM - Yesterday the Kazakh delegation chaired by the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan - Minister of Regional Development Bakytzhan Sagintayev visited on a business trip the emirate of Dubai (UAE), says the press-service of the Ministry of Regional Development of Kazakhstan.

Delegates acquainted with the activities of the free economic zone called «Jebel Ali Free Zone» (JAFZA), and also held talks with the head of «DP World» Mohammed Sharaf regarding the use of this company to the management of seaport of Aktau and its integration with the BMS "Khorgos-Eastern Gate" .

The Kazakh side was also represented by the president of KazTemirZholy Askar Mamin, Director of State Enterprise "Aktau International Sea Commercial Port " Berik Uandykov.

As stated during the negotiations, the use of basic principles of «DP World» will give a powerful impetus to the development of transport and logistics system and expansion of the transit potential of Kazakhstan and will begin a process of studying investment opportunities in marine terminals, logistics centers and railways of Kazakhstan.
