Kazakh Defense Ministers mourns death of Su-27 pilots

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - Kazakhstan's Minister of Defense Serik Akhmetov has offered his condolences to the families and relatives of the victims of the Su-27 airplane crash.

"On behalf of all military men of the Armed Forces of Kazakhstan and on my own behalf I would like to express my deepest condolences to the victims' families. Two young officers Yerlan Nauanov and Denis Gorbunov were talented, brave and full of energy. This is a grievous loss for all of us. This tragedy once again reminds us that the army is only for strong in spirit and courageous men even in the time of peace," the letter of condolences reads. Earlier it was reported that the Su-27 airplane crashed in Almaty region on September 23, 2014 with two pilots onboard. A special commission is investigating the cause of the fatal crash.
