Kazakh Defense Minister received Chinese Ambassador

ASTANA. July 16. KAZINFORM Defense Minister of Kazakhstan Adilbek Dzhaksybekov held a meeting with Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of China to Kazakhstan Chzhou Li, Kazinform has learnt from the press service of the Ministry of Defense.

"It should be mentioned that Kazakhstan and China enjoy fruitful and progressive bilateral cooperation, which is based on friendship and good-neighborliness. Heads of the two countries agreed to continue strengthening and expanding all-round interaction between Kazakhstan and China," the head of the Kazakh Defense Ministry noted.

Currently, within the framework of the military cooperation, the defense ministries of the two countries are to implement the agreements as well as training of military personnel. China is training 20 military officers from Kazakhstan at the moment.

"Kazakhstan and China maintain political dialogue and successfully cooperate in the military sector. Over the last three years, the Armed Forces of Kazakhstan have developed dynamically. This has been proved by the latest victory of the Kazakh special forces in the Altyn Yki international competitions for intelligence groups," the Chinese Ambassador said.

The sides expressed confidence the first visit of the Chinese Vice-Chairman of the Central Military Commission (CMC) Fan Changlong, scheduled on July 18-20, would set off the new stage in mutually fruitful Kazakh-Chinese military cooperation.
