Kazakh cyclist Vinokourov sells bike for 243,670 U.S. dollars at auction

ALMATY. September 17. KAZINFORM London Olympics champion Alexander Vinokourov sold his bike on Sunday at auction for 243,000 U.S. dollars.
Vinokourov decided to donate the money to orphanages, Xinhua reports.
The bicycle was acquired by Tak Group for 243,000 U.S. dollars, which is almost 5 times more than the starting price.
Vinokourov, 38, was a member of Kazakhstan's squad which won the men's group road race in London. He immediately announced his retirement after the race.
