Kazakh craftswoman's carpets booming abroad

ASTANA. KAZINFORM A craftswoman from the Kyzylorda region revived the almost forgotten tradition to weave shag carpets which was an essential part of the Kazakh carpet weaving arts.
Last year the woman was awarded the USAID grant for the development of small business. Her works enjoy demand in Russia, China, England, Hong Kong, Kyrgyzstan, etc. Besides, the woman shares her experience and teaches the local girls the national arts and crafts, kyzylorda-news.kz reports.
