Kazakh, Chinese Premiers met in Beijing

ASTANA. October 15. KAZINFORM. Yesterday Kazakh Prime Minister Karim Massimov met with Premier of the State Council of China Wen Jiabao in Beijing; the Kazakh PM's press service told Kazinform.

The parties exchanged opinions on bilateral relations, particularly in oil and gas sphere.

Discussing the decisions and agreements signed in Beijing on the increase of capacity of the Kazakh-Chinese oil pipeline from 10 to 20 million tons a year as well as construction of the 2nd stage of Beineu-Bozoi gas pipeline Mr. Wen Jiabao noted that Kazakhstan and China made great steps in their cooperation.

"Establishment of long-term bilateral relations in oil and gas sphere is an evidence of absolute political mutual understanding between Kazakhstan and China", he stressed.

The prospects of implementation of projects in non-primary sector, financial sphere and the issues of rational use of transborder rivers were considered as well.
