Kazakh, Chinese foreign ministries held consultations in Beijing

BEIJING. July 3. KAZINFORM /Ruslan Suleimenov/ Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan Nurlan Yermekbayev and China's Assistant Foreign Minister Cheng Guoping held a meeting within the framework of the Kazakhstan's chairmanship in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization on July 2 in Beijing.

The sides discussed the main priorities of the SCO for the period of Kazakhstan's chairmanship and the Action Plan of the organization for 2010-2011 initiated by Kazakhstan.

The meeting was held within the framework of a cycle of Kazakhstan's consultations with all SCO member states. As is known, the first meeting took place in Moscow on June 25-26. In July the same consultations will be held with Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.

N. Yermekbayev also met with SCO Secretary General Muratbek Imanaliyev. The parties considered the issues regarding the SCO activities and preparation for the jubilee summit planned for June 2011 in Astana.
