Kazakh children to take part in EU world drawing competition

ASTANA. May 20. KAZINFORM Selection and exhibition of children?s drawings in the world competition on the subject of gender equality is taking place in Astana under the aegis of the European Commission.
This the third year the competition welcomes children from all over the world to express their vision of the gender equality. Children from Kazakhstan are taking part for the second time, the press service of the EC agency in Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan informed.
Today the Center for Social Adaptation of Children with the assistance of the EU and the administration of the Yesil district of Astana are holding a festive event for children devoted to the Family Day in the Duman entertainment center. 100 families including the families with disabled children, orphaned children and large families will take part in the event.
The invited families and visitors will select 10 best works of the contest participants. Kazakh schoolchildren at the age of 8-10 years sent over 150 drawings. Selected works will be submitted to the world drawings competition.
