"Earlier, in Kazakhstan there was a problem associated with unbranched network of tourist accommodation, businessmen invested in such sectors of the economy as real estate or construction to make quick money. The situation has changed; during the period of crisis from 2007 till 2010 the number of hotels increased three times in Kazakhstan. People started investing money in those industries that generate stable income. Of course they are not so fast, but they mean a steady income, a good investment", K. Uskenbayev noted.

The Vice Minister added that tourism in Kazakhstan covered 32 economy sectors. 1,458 enterprises and individual entrepreneurs engaged in hotel business are registered in the country.
