Kazakh Biotechnology National Centre reps to discuss collaboration issues with colleagues from Tomsk (Russia)
TOMSK. April 3. KAZINFORM - In Tomsk 4-7 April there will work the delegation of the Republican State Enterprise called "National Center for Biotechnology" of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The heads of the centre will take into consideration with Tomsk colleagues the issues of cooperating in the development of genomic, post-genomic and bioinformatic technologies to create products and biologically active substances, and biopolymers, and biological treatment of industrial waste, training", informs the press center of administration of the Russian region.
During the visit the delegation will visit the Institute of Medical Genetics, Institute of Monitoring Climatic and Ecological Systems (Siberian Branch of Russian Academy of Sciences, SB RAS), Siberian Research Institute of Agriculture and Peat, and the Tomsk State University.
Kazakhs will be presented with the proposals by small innovative companies and the recognized leaders in the field of biotechnology like "Solagift", "IFARE", "Artlife", and "Biomedicine of Siberia."
During the visit it is expected to negotiate a memorandum of cooperation between the "National Center for Biotechnology" and the administration of the Tomsk region, as well as to negotiate the possibility of participation in the work of the center of the technological platform called "Medicine of the Future."
"The upcoming visit will be a continuation of the talks held during the Tomsk delegation's participation in the exhibition titled "Education and Science of the XXI century - 2013 " in Astana this February", the press-service notes.
