Kazakh biathlete secures gold at IBU Para Biathlon World Cup stage

On Saturday, March 8, the IBU Para Biathlon World Cup stage took place in Torsby, Sweden, where Yerbol Khamitov of Kazakhstan claimed gold in the Sitting Men 7.5 km Sprint, Kazinform News Agency cites Sports.kz.

Kazakhstan’s Khamitov clocked the race in 19:38.0 seconds.

Finishing in 19:55.1 seconds, Pavlo Bal from Ukraine claimed silver, while another Ukrainian athlete, Oleksandr Aleksyk, who finished in 20:00.9 seconds, pocketed bronze.

Kazakhstani biathlete Sergey Ussoltsev also took part in the race, finishing in 9th place with a time of 22:31.1.

Additionally, Alexandr Gerlits claimed 5th place in the Men's Standing 7.5 km Sprint, finishing with a time of 18:46.83.
