Kazakh-Azerbaijani Business Forum held in Baku

BAKU. February 24. KAZINFORM Kazakhstan-Azerbaijani Business Forum has been held in Baku.

The event was attended by Akim of Aktobe region A. Mukhambetov, Kazakh Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Azerbaijan Serik Primbetov, Azerbaijan Deputy Minister of Economic Development Niyazi Safarov, President of AZPROMO - Azerbaijan Export and Investment Promotion  Foundation Adil Mammadov, Executive Director of Azerbaijan Investment Company Afgan Isayev and representatives of Chambers of Commerce as well as business communities of both countries.

Mutual visits, activation of business economic cooperation contribute to developing Kazak-Azerbaijani trade economic relationship. "Aktobe region has high investment potential. In turn, we are interested in the revitalization of the Azerbaijani business community on the territory of Kazakhstan," said N. Safarov.

According to Mukhambetov, the purpose of the Business Forum is attracting Azerbaijani investments to the region's economy. Aktobe region has trade relations with 106 countries.

He also noted that today trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Aktobe region is USD 40 million, the third after Russia and Ukraine.
As part of the business forum Aktobe region presented 20 big projects of plants for the production of nickel, glass, etc.
In addition, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Azerbaijan and Aktobe region  signed a memorandum of understanding.
