Kazakh, Austrian FMs signed Investments Promotion and Protection Agreement
VIENNA. January 13. KAZINFORM /Yerzhan Ospanov/ The Foreign Ministers of Kazakhstan and Austria signed the Investments Promotion and Protection Agreement at the meeting of OSCE Chairman-in-office, Kazakh Secretary of State - Foreign Minister Kanat Saudabayev with Austrian Foreign Minister Michael Spindelegger during Mr. Saudabayev's visit to Vienna.
The Austrian Minister noted that the document will allow the two states to move to a new stage of investment interaction.
The sides also discussed the issues of further development of Kazakh-Austrian cooperation and interaction within the international organizations.
K.Saudabayev informed his colleague of the main priorities of the Kazakhstan's OSCE chairmanship, realization of "Path to Europe" State Program. The regional security issues including the Afghan conflict were discussed as well.
The foreign ministers of the two states complimented positive dynamics of the development of trade-economic relations between the countries. Despite the global financial crisis the mutual trade growth indices exceeding USD 1 bln are threefold higher then the corresponding indices of 2007.
