Kazakh Ambassador read lecture in Belarusian State Agrarian Technical University

SK. July 1. KAZINFORM. Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Kazakhstan to the Republic of Belarus Anatoly Smirnov visited Belarusian State Agrarian Technical University on June 24.

As the press service of the Embassy in the Republic of Belarus informed, the Rector of the University N. Kazarovets told the Ambassador about training and preparing of personnel for agro-industrial complex of Belarus, familiarized him with the material and technical base of the university.

 The parties noted that Kazakhstan and Belarus universities had opportunities of cooperation.

A.Smirnov and N.Kazarovets visited the photo gallery "Modern Kazakhstan" organized by the Embassy, and museum and library of the university.

The Ambassador also read a lecture to the professors, faculty and students of the university. He informed them about  the present social and economical situation in the country, political initiatives of Kazakhstan, and contemporary conditions of Kazakhstani-Belarusian relationships. The Ambassador noted that Kazakhstan initiated the III EAPC Security Forum in Astana.

A.Smirnov told the audience about the Kazakh initiative to sign the Treaty on creation the Central Asian zone free from nuclear weapons.

The Kazakh diplomat added that our country pays much attention to peacekeeping, international security and cooperation of religious leaders. One of the topics on the III Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions held in Astana on July 1-2 will be the role of religious leaders in peacemaking, creation of tolerance and mutual respect and partnership.

The Ambassador informed that system of anti-crisis measures is implemented in Kazakhstan.  He acquainted the audience in detail with Kazakhstan President N.Nazarbayev's Address to the Nation "Through Crisis to Renovation and Development".

The diplomat noted that special importance is attached to the Address provisions devoted to the agro-industrial complex, development of which solve two important tasks of the country - provision of food security and export diversification.

The Ambassador noted that the education system of Kazakhstan is the most important element of the Kazakhstan public policy. The Government of Kazakhstan intends to increase scholraships, give additional grants and credits to students.

The diplomat added that Kazakhstan and Belarus should activate trade and economic relations to increase trade turnover and overcome the world financial crisis. A.Smirnov said that there is a necessity to develop cultural and humanitarian partnership between the two countries.
