Kazakh Ambassador presents credentials to President of Togo

The Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Kingdom of Morocco and to the Republic of Togo concurrently, Saulekul Saylaukyzy, presented her letter of credence to the President of the Republic of Togo, Faure Essozimna Gnassingbe, the press service of the Kazakh MFA reported.

During the ceremony of presenting credentials, the Kazakh Ambassador conveyed the best wishes of the President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and noted that Astana pays special attention to strengthening relations between the two countries, including intensifying political dialogue and interaction in the trade, economic, investment and humanitarian spheres.

In turn, Togolese President Gnassingbe noted that Kazakhstan is Togo’s main partner in Central Asia and expressed readiness to actively develop mutually beneficial cooperation. He warmly recalled his meeting with President Tokayev during his official visit to Astana in November 2023.

The President of Togo confirmed his intention to participate to the Astana International Forum 2025 to discuss trade and economic relations between Kazakhstan and Togo.

The President of Togo congratulated the Ambassador of Kazakhstan on the beginning of the diplomatic mission and wished success in her activities aimed at further developing relations between two countries.

Kazakhstan and the Republic of Togo established diplomatic relations on October 14, 2014.

In mid-November, Ambassador of Kazakhstan to the Netherlands and Permanent Representative of Kazakhstan to the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW), Kairat Abdrakhmanov, presented his credentials to the Director-General of the OPCW, Fernando Arias.
