Kazakh Ambassador, Pakistani Minister of Foreign Affairs met in Islamabad

ASTANA. February 27. KAZINFORM Ambassador of Kazakhstan Bakhytbek Shabarbayev met with Minister of State for Foreign Affairs of Pakistan Sahibzada Malik Amad Khan on February, 25, Kazinform refers to the Kazakh MFA?s press-service.

The diplomats exchanged views on the issues of strengthening of regional and global security and cooperation within the Conference on Interaction and Confidence-building Measures in Asia (CICA) and the Congress of the Leaders of the World and Traditional Religions. It was noted that Pakistan took an active part in the implementation of mentioned initiatives from the moment of their extension by Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev. The Ambassador informed the Minister on the preparatory works to Kazakhstan?s chairmanship in the OSCE next year and in the OIC in 2011. The sides stressed the necessity to hold II Astana Economic Forum ?Economic Security of the Eurasia in the System of Global Risks? in time, on March in Astana. In addition the parties considered the issue of Pakistan Minister of Communication Arbab Alamdgir Khan?s participation in the first forum of Ministers on transport ?Asian Cooperation Dialogue? (ASD), scheduled in Astana in April and in the 5th Eurasian Auto-transport Conference in Almaty as well.
