Kazakh Ambassador met with Tatarstan President

ASTANA. June 22. KAZINFORM Kazakh Ambassador to Russia Zautbek Turysbekov met with President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov during his visit to Kazan.

A wide range of issues of trade-economic, cultural and humanitarian cooperation of Kazakhstan and Tatarstan was discussed at the meeting held on June 20 this year.

In particular, issues of construction of a memorial to Kazakhstani soldiers of 100th and 101st riffle brigades in Rzhev in the year of the 65th anniversary of the Great Victory were discussed. Z.Turysbekov informed that the Kazakh diplomats conduct work in the Archives of the Russian Defense Ministry in Podolsk on preparation of a list of died soldiers of the100th and 101st riffle brigades formed in Almaty and Aktobe.

Many Tatar people died in the fights for Rzhev as well. In this regard, the Tatar President expressed readiness to perpetuate the memory of Tatar heroes. The sides agreed to work on a single architectural complex of the memorial in Rzhev.

The sides also discussed the issues of further deepening of multilateral cooperation of regions of Kazakhstan and Tatarstan. By the initiative of the President of Tatarstan a working group for coordination of issues of interaction with Kazakhstan and development of a joint action plant was established. The Head of the Kazakh diplomatic mission complimented the great potential for cooperation in the fields of engineering, innovative technologies, oil and gas sector and accentuated the issues of studying of the Tatarstan experience in functioning of e-government, reforms of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Tatarstan and sport development by the Kazakh specialists.

R. Minnikhanov suggested considering an opportunity of organization of a visit of the Kazakh President and Prime Minister to Tatarstan in order to strengthen cooperation.
