Kazakh Ambassador meets with Spanish Senate President

ANA. October 23. KAZINFORM Opportunities of further cooperation development between the Kazakh and Spanish legislative bodies in the tideway of coordination of the two countries chairmanships in the OSCE and the EU the next year have been discussed at the meeting of Kazakh Ambassador Yergali Bulegenov and President of the Spanish Senate Francisco Javier Rojo Garcia

In this connection, the opportunity of holding visit of the Spanish parliamentary delegation to Kazakhstan was considered.

The Kazakh diplomat informed the Speaker of the activities of political and economic life of the country, noting successful holding of such events like III Congress of leaders of world and traditional religions and 18th session of the UNWTO General Assembly. The sides paid special attention to Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev's initiative on announcement August 29 the World Day of Renunciation of Weapons of Mass Destruction. The President's initiative was highly appraised by the Spanish parliamentarians; they emphasized importance of such beginnings for promotion of the nuclear disarmament process and ensuring stability in the global scale.

Talking about the state of bilateral Kazakh-Spanish relations, Francisco Javier Rojo Garcia positively estimated Strategic Partnership Agreement signed between Kazakhstan and Spain in July, 2009, expressing confidence that the document will give an impulse for further multilateral development of bilateral relations.
