Kazakh Ambassador meets with Minister of Tourism & Sports of Thailand
ASTANA. August 19. KAZINFORM - Marat Yessenbayev, Kazakh Ambassador to Thailand, has held a meeting with Somsak Pureesrisak, Minister of Tourism and Sports of Thailand, the press service of the Foreign Ministry of the Republic of Kazakhstan reports.
During the meeting the sides discussed the status and prospects of Kazakh-Thai cooperation in the field of tourism and sport.
Yessenbayev informed the Minister about the state policy on development of promising tourism industry of Kazakhstan and the achievements of our country in sports and physical culture.
For his part, Somsak Pureesrisak said that Thailand's Government highly appreciates bilateral relations with Kazakhstan. He noted that in 2012, Thailand was visited by over 50 thousand of Kazakh tourists. The minister also said that his office will provide necessary support to ensure safety and relaxing stay of the tourists. The Minister also invited the Kazakh athletes to participate in IV Beach Asian Games to be held on November 14-21, 2014 in Phuket.
Following the meeting the parties agreed to sign interagency and intergovernmental agreements on cooperation in the sphere of tourism and sport between the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Kingdom of Thailand.
