Kazakh Ambassador briefed Pakistani Deputy Foreign Minister on priorities of Kazakh foreign policy within OSCE chairmanship
ASTANA. January 20. KAZINFORM Kazakh Ambassador to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Bakhytbek Shabarbayev informed Deputy Foreign Minister of Pakistan Munawar Saeed Bhatti on the priorities of the foreign policy of Kazakhstan taking into account the chairmanship of Kazakhstan in the OSCE in 2010 and in the Organization of the Islamic Conference in 2011, aimed at rapprochement of Europe and Asia by means of improvement of the efficiency and expansion of the contribution of the organizations to settlement of topical international problems, Kazinform refers to the Kazakh Embassy in Pakistan.
He confirmed the readiness of Kazakhstan to cooperate with Pakistan at the post of the OSCE chairman.
The sides discussed the issues of the Kazakh-Pakistani relations and expressed mutual readiness for further development of the bilateral cooperation.
The Kazakh Ambassador stressed the intention of the Kazakh Government to further cooperation with the world community in settlement of the situation in Afghanistan and rendering assistance to this country.
The parties complimented active participation of the Pakistani Government in the international activities held by Kazakhstan. The Pakistani Communications and Tourism Ministers headed their delegations at the 5th conference "Silk Road Revival: from plans to implementation" and 18th session of the General Assembly of the World Tourism Organization that were held last year.
The Pakistani side was thanked for participation of the heads of the Council of Islamic Ideology of Pakistan and the International Islamic University in Istanbul in the III Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions held in Astana in 2009.
