Kazakh Ambassador attends «Capitans Regent» inauguration ceremony in the Republic of San Marino

ASTANA. October 3. KAZINFORM On October 1, Andrian Yelemesov, Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Italy with concurrent accreditation to San Marino and Malta, attended "Captains Regent" inauguration ceremony of Gian Carlo Capicchioni and Annamaria Muccioli in San Marino. Captains Regent are elected for six months by the General Council of San Marino and usually belong to opposing parties, Kazinform has learnt from the Kazakh MFA's press service.

The event takes place in San Marino twice a year (April 1 and October 1). The inaugural ceremony is very complex and complies with protocol that has been in power for several centuries. The transition ceremony is held in the Palazzo Valloni and attended by diplomatic and consular corps, prominent political and public figures. The official speaker at the ceremony this time was Aurelia Frick, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Principality of Liechtenstein.

After the ceremony, Kazakhstan's diplomatic mission held a conversation with the Captains Regent of San Marino Gian Carlo Capicchioni and Annamaria Muccioli. They discussed the bilateral cooperation. The San Marino representatives expressed their interest in strengthening the bilateral relations in various sectors, including foreign policy, trade and economic, tourism, culture and art.
