KazAgro to allocate 17 bn tenge for harvesting campaign
ASTANA. August 23. KAZINFORM National Holding "KazAgro" plans to allocate 17 billion tenge for a harvesting campaign, according to the press service of the holding, Kazinform has learnt from primeminister.kz.
Support for farms and agricultural companies of the main grain regions of Kazakhstan is provided in the form of credit and leasing of various agricultural machinery.
Of the total amount of funding more than 13 billion tenge falls on extra-budgetary resources of JSC "KazAgroFinance" intended for purchase of grain machinery and equipment.
In general, during the sowing campaign and preparation for harvesting the subsidiaries of the holding financed 3,630 applications from agricultural producers, allowing to process and plant 5.7 million hectares of sown area.
According to the Ministry of Agriculture, this year the crops were planted on the area of 21.4 million hectares. Spring sowing area was 18.6 million hectares, including the wheat on 13.1 million hectares.
