Kasulides says Kazakhstan leads in promoting democratic reforms in CA
BRUSSELS. June 16. KAZINFORM /Dimash Syzdykov/ "Kazakhstan takes the lead in Central Asia in promoting democratic reforms," Vice President of the European People's Party Group Ioannis Kasulides told during the meeting with the Kazakh delegation, led by deputy Majilis chairman Vladimir Bobrov, in the European Parliament.
According to him, Kazakhstan fulfills its international obligations to carry out democratic reforms. This continuous process is proved by the country's legal framework reforms. Thereupon the EU sets an aim to contribute to these processes but not to export its democracy to Kazakhstan. He expressed his belief that potential investors intended to invest in Kazakhstan would appraise the current changes in the country to build an effective system of checks and balances and ensure legal framework and independent legal system.
Kasulides congratulated Kazakhstan on successful OSCE presidency and Astana Summit.
