Kassym-Jomart Tokayev invites Congolese youth to study in Kazakhstan
At today’s meeting with President of the Republic of Congo Denis Sassou Nguesso in Astana, the Kazakh President stressed the need to strengthen cultural and humanitarian ties between Astana and Brazzaville, Kazinform News Agency reports.
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev invited Congolese youth to study at the universities of Kazakhstan suggesting this step will strengthen cooperation between the states. He said Kazakhstan and Congo established close international and regional relations.
The Head of State said the two countries have common positions on many pressing issues and enjoy cooperation within global and regional structures. He stressed it is crucial to render mutual support and hold consultations within the UN and the African Union.
The parties also shared views on global and regional security highlighting climate change.
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev supported the vision of the President of Congo on afforestation and reforestation.
According to the President, the visit of Denis Sassou Nguesso is of historic meaning.
