Karatantcheva progresses at ITF Women's Circuit tournament in France

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - Two representatives of Kazakhstan Sesil Karatantcheva and Yulia Putintseva have met in the second round of the Open Féminin de Marseilles in France, Kazinform refers to Sports.kz.
Karatantcheva defeated Putintseva in straight sets 6:4, 6:2 to advance to the quarterfinal.
As reported earlier, in the first-round match Karatantcheva beat the 6th-seeded Jovana Jakšić from Serbia in three sets 0:6, 6:3, 6:3. Putintseva was stronger than Yulia Beygelzimer from Ukraine and downed her in straight sets 6:3, 6:4.
The prize fund of the ITF Women's Circuit tournament is $100,000.
