Karaganda region to develop coop with Poland

KARAGANDA. March 5. KAZINFORM. /Valentina Yelizarova/ Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Poland to Kazakhstan Pawel Cieplak has visited Karaganda town today.
The issues of Kazakh-Polish cooperation development were discussed at the meeting with Akim (Governor) of the region Nurlan Nigmatulin.
Following the results of 2008 the volume of external commodity circulation between the region and Poland increased by 165.5% and made up USD 46.2 million. ?We have reserves for the development of business cooperation. Contacts in the social sphere also develop. Karaganda started cooperation with the Polish cardiac surgeons. Over 160 Kazakhstani surgeons attended courses and seminars for advanced training?, the Governor said.
The sides reached an agreement on further cooperation in the sphere of healthcare. The diplomat also suggested holding Polish film festival in Karaganda. The idea was supported by the regional authorities.
