Karaganda region authorities will assist in organization of funerals of those killed in AN-2 crash

KARAGANDA. KAZINFORM - Karaganda region has established a special commission to organize the funerals of six people who died in the crash of AN-2 plane in Zhambyl region, the press service of the regional administration reports.

According to the statement, the special commission has been established in accordance with an order by Karaganda region's Mayor. The commission will organize assistance in funerals of 6 people killed in AN-2 aircraft crash. Local executive authorities will render support to the families of the victims. Recall that 20 January AN-2 plane crashed in Shusk district of Zhambyl region, 45 kilometers east of Tole bi village. The plane owned by Karaganda-based company Olymp-Air was en route Balkhash-Shatyrkol. Rescue crews of Zhambyl region were dispatched to the accident site. As a result of the search operation, the AN-2 plane wreckage was found 20 kilometers away from Shatyrkol mine at 17:01 p.m. local time.

According to reports, one of 7 people onboard - a woman - had survived the crash and was rushed to a hospital.
