Karaganda Machine-Building Consortium eager to set up joint ventures with Belarus
MINSK. April 10. KAZINFORM Karaganda Machine-Building Consortium (Kazakhstan) is interested in setting up joint ventures together with Belarus. The statement was made by director of the company Bolat Kenzhin prior to the opening of the Belarusian-Kazakh business forum in Minsk on 9 April, BelTA has learned.
"The Belarusian side is interested in mining mechanical engineering products while Kazakhstan is interested in agricultural mechanical engineering products, mounted tools, municipal vehicles, in other words, the direction you have advanced far," stated the director of the company.
Bolat Kenzhin remarked that Belarus had made a step forward in developing agricultural mechanical engineering. "We'd love to learn it from you and to create joint ventures, which is very interesting for us," he admitted. He said he believes that joint manufacturing is advisable, BelTA reports.
"As far as I know, there are plans to sign 8 or 9 agreements today, including about five that will be relevant for mechanical engineering. They provide for taking care of the matters relevant for creating joint ventures in Belarus and Kazakhstan," said the director of the consortium.
