K.Tokayev: In his lecture in MSU President laid out specific program of Eurasian integration development

"In his lecture at Moscow State University the head of state laid out a specific program of Eurasian integration development in new geopolitical conditions. Urging his colleagues in the Customs Union "to look over the horizon", he convinced in what direction we should develop the Eurasian Economic Union and what kind of measures to be taken to ensure the success of that ambitious project", said K.Tokayev.

"I have already had occasion to say that President Nursultan Nazarbayev has no peers in terms of political experience, wisdom and ability to deliver good results. Lecture at MSU became the quintessence of his thoughts on the prospects of continuous integration project proposed to post-Soviet community 20 years ago", he added. As one of the biggest arguments in favor of the creation of the new association President Nazarbayev named his thesis on integration as a global phenomenon. Agreeing with this statement, K.Tokayev also expressed support and another view of our leader to strengthen the role of regional organizations in the global financial and economic crisis.

K.Tokayev considers essential our leader's thesis that the EEU should be formed as a new center of global innovation and transnational business. Thus, President's proposals on the establishment of the Eurasian Innovation Council, United Eurasian telecommunications network, Minsk-Moscow-Astana-Almaty railway route, as well as "Caspian - Black Sea" channel have common sense.

According to the Speaker of the Senate, it is impossible to talk about the success of the Eurasian project without energy cooperation. Nursultan Nazarbayev has focused attention on this vital topic. He also emphasized strengthening of small and medium-sized businesses' position in the Eurasian space. There is no doubt that EEU member-states would positively react to the proposal of the President of Kazakhstan to create the Eurasian agrarian academy and start developing a large-scale cultural and humanitarian cooperation.

Tokayev emphasized the great interest of the international community to the statement of President Nazarbayev that ‘Soviet Union's "reincarnation" with creation of EEU - groundless'. Delivering a lecture at MSU Nazarbayev went on to add that the "current ownership system, social structure and our societies' economic structure" have gone far ahead of the archaic Soviet Union.

According Mr.Tokayev the lecture of President Nursultan Nazarbayev at MSU is an event of special political importance as it contained meaningful answers to the questions that have accumulated around the Eurasian integration. Speaker of the Senate said that the lecture material should be spread to the UN, OSCE and other international organizations.
