K.Saudabayev meets with his Russian colleague S.Lavrov
ASTANA. February 22. KAZINFORM /Serik Sabekov/ A meeting of Foreign Ministers of Kazakhstan and Russia Kanat Saudabayev and Sergey Lavrov is underway in Astana. The sides discuss the issues of bilateral cooperation and multilateral interaction within the international organizations.
"Your visit, Mr. Lavrov, is another evidence of that strategic partnership, truly allied relations that connect Russia and Kazakhstan. We set a high value on these relations", K.Saudabayev said in his welcome address.
He also noted that it is symbolic that the meeting is held a week later after the meeting of the Heads of two countries. "I believe that the frequency of meetings of our Leaders and their mutual understanding, agreement of opinions on many directions of our cooperation lay special responsibility on us", K.Saudabayev said.
His Russian colleague noted that the number of last-year visits of the Leaders of two countries was record-breaking. "You are absolutely right. The responsibility is great as long as our relations cover the whole spectrum of possible fields of interaction. In this regard, the well-being of people in Russia and Kazakhstan depends on how effectively our Foreign Ministries execute their coordinating functions", S.Lavrov said.
