K.Mami met with PACE Chairman
ASTANA. June 29. KAZINFORM Kazakh Senate Chairman Kairat Mami has met with Chairman of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu; the press service of the Senate reports.
K.Mami noted that since signing the Agreement on cooperation the interparliamentary interaction develops on the basis of mutual understanding and confidence. "We consider the PACE as an important partner and are interested in further development of constructive cooperation," the Speaker said.
K.Mami emphasized importance of interparliamentary ties in further strengthening of political dialog between Kazakhstan and the Council of Europe.
Congratulating Kazakhstan on chairmanship in the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu expressed confidence that "initiatives of President Nursultan Nazarbayev on the European and Asian integration will successfully promote within the OIC."
