Junior World Boxing Championship commences in Astana

ASTANA. July 23. KAZINFORM /Kanat Kulshmanov/ The Sports Palace 'Kazakhstan' in Astana hosts the Junior World Boxing Championship. Today, on July 23, the tournament that gathered over 500 sportsmen from 50 countries begins.
13 sportsmen from Kazakhstan will represent their country at the event. The finals of the tournament are scheduled for July 30.
It should be noted that the history of Kazakhstan's boxing hasn't seen such a large scale event held in our country. The Ministry of Tourism and Sport of Kazakhstan and Kazakhstan's Boxing Federation and akimat of Astana exerted every effort to organize and hold this event at the highest possible level.
