Judge shot dead in broad daylight in Moscow
MOSCOW. April 12. KAZINFORM A federal judge was shot dead in Moscow on Monday morning. An armed attack on the judge was made in Strelbishchensky bystreet, Kazinform refers to Itar-Tass.
The judge, Eduard Chuvashov, was found in the doorway of an apartment block at 24, Strelbishchensky bystreet, a law enforcement source told Itar-Tass. Forensic examination established the judge died of several gunshot wounds in his head and chest.
A group of investigators arrived on the scene; they are doing their best to recreate the circumstances of the murder, questioning tenants and passers -by who might have seen the murderer.
Police are sure the crime was a contract murder presumably connected with Chuvashov's professional activities.
Earlier, Eduard Chuvashov had occupied a senior post at the Presnensky district Interior department that supervised the territory where the judge was killed, Kazinform cites Itar-Tass. See www.itar-tass.com
