Jubilee year has been a year of rapid economic growth and improvement of living standards - Kazakh President

The leadership of the Government, Presidential Administration, Nur Otan People's Democratic Party attended the sitting.

According to N. Nazarbayev, the outgoing year was very important, serious and successful. Kazakhstan completes the year of the 20th anniversary of independence with good results. Real GDP growth amounts to 7.3%, GDP per capita has reached 11,000 U.S. dollars. The foreign exchange reserves exceed USD 75 billion. It was a successful year for agriculture - an increase in production volume amounted to 25.5% compared to last year, in construction sector - nearly 3%, in industry - about 4%.

The President noted that 609 projects totaling KZT 9.6 trillion were included in the Industrialization Map. 90 thousand jobs were created at the facilities, which have been put into operation during the past two years. 750 projects worth KZT 240 billion were approved under the program "Business Road Map-2020". Nursultan Nazarbayev also noted the progress made in the social sphere. The level of unemployment decreased to 5.3 percent. The state healthcare program Salamatty Kazakhstan for 2011-2015 is underway.

The Kazakh leader emphasized that the jubilee year was a year of continued rapid economic growth and improvement of living standards. The people of Kazakhstan with satisfaction and a sense duty fulfilled can greet the New Year 2012.
