Joint work to promote coop between Kazakhstan and Belarus - Defense Minister
ASTANA. July 10. KAZINFORM. Kazakh Defense Minister Adilbek Dzhaksybekov has met with the delegation of the State Military-Industrial Committee of Belarus headed by its Chairman Nikolai Azamatov in Astana today; Kazinform refers to the Ministry's press service.
The sides discussed prospects of development of military cooperation between Kazakhstan and Belarus. Definite proposals concerning the projects of military-technical cooperation were worked out.
According to Minister Dzhaksybekov, prolongation of service periods and modernization of military technique can become important directions of military cooperation between Kazakhstan and Belarus.
N. Azamatov suggested the Kazakh Minister making a working visit to Belarus to study the work of defense industry enterprises of his country.
The parties expressed mutual interest in further military-technical interaction. A. Dzhaksybekov expressed confidence that their joint work would promote and expand mutually beneficial cooperation between the two states.
