Joint work on strengthening legislation is of paramount importance for realization of Kazakh-Russian coop potential - Deputy of Russian Council of Federation V. Glukhikh
ASTANA. June 30. KAZINFORM Chief of the Senate Committee on Socio-Cultural Development Akhan Bizhanov has met today with the deputies of the Council of Federation of the Russian Federal Assembly Viktor Glukhikh and Vladimir Lityushkin.
In the course of the meeting A. Bizhanov noted high level of interaction between the upper chambers of both countries' parliaments and spoke for further deepening of ties on interparliamentary level, the Senate's press service reports.
According to the Committee's Chief, the Kazakh Senate and the Council of Federation enjoy friendly relations to date. The inter-parliamentary groups of friendship are working actively too.
The parliamentarians discussed legal provision of political, trade-economic, humanitarian ties as well as near-border cooperation between two countries.
A. Bizhanov informed the members of the Council of Federation of the activity on formation of legal framework on the Customs Union.
"Within this session we have adopted a big package of documents. The Kazakh Parliament has ratified over 40 agreements and treaties in order to develop the Customs Union and formation of the single economic space", A. Bizhanov said.
In the opinion of V. Glukhikh, parliamentary aspect is an important direction of bilateral cooperation. "Joint work on strengthening legislation is of paramount importance for realization of the Kazakh-Russian cooperation potential", the Russian Deputy considers.
