Japanese Ambassador thanked Kazakhstan for assistance in rehabilitation of quake-stricken region

  ASTANA. March 13. KAZINFORM "Japanese Embassy thanks Kazakhstan for grant aid in reconstruction of the region affected by the 2011 earthquake," told Japanese Ambassador Yuzo Harada during the official reception in Astana on the ocassion of the anniversary of the 2011 devastating earthquake in Japan.

"We are deeply moved for Kazakh people reacted to our tragedy as to their own.  Many Kazakh friends expressed their admiration of discipline of the Japanese during emergency situations," Yuzo Harada said.

According to him, the Japanese tragedy became an opportunity for further development of friendship between the  two countries and a base for strengthening mutual relationship. "Japan works hardly to restore the country after the devastating earthquake. But economical and social status of the affected regions is difficult," the Japanese Ambassador said.

Yuzo Harada thanked Kazakhstan authorities and urged everyone to visit Japan and to see a country full of beauty and vitality.
