TOKYO. August 14. KAZINFORM Japan and North Korea are likely to resume governmental talks on Aug. 29, mainly to realize the retrieval of the remains of Japanese who died in what is now North Korea during the final phase of World War II and in the confusion following it, a political source said Tuesday.
Chief Cabinet Secretary Osamu Fujimura will make an announcement on the resumption of the dialogue, which would be for the first time in four years, during a news conference from 4 p.m, Kyodo reports.
