Japan, Kazakhstan to sign investment agreement after 10-year wait
ASTANA. KAZINFORM - Japan and Kazakhstan are to sign agreement on investments, according to Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Karim Massimov.
"After almost 10 years of negotiations Japan and Kazakhstan will ink the agreement on investments. I would like to take this opportunity and congratulate you on this milestone in the history of the two nations," Prime Minister Massimov said at the 5th session of the Japanese-Kazakhstani Joint Commission on economic cooperation. In his words, the agreement on support of Japanese investments will provide additional guarantees and ensure security of investments in Kazakhstan. "In addition, Japan is one of the foreign countries that enjoy visa-free regime with Kazakhstan. Any citizen of Japan - a businessman or a tourist - can visit Kazakhstan without delays and bureaucratic hurdles," Massimov added.
